Frugal Fridays: Tips and Hints

Welcome to Frugal Fridays where we share money saving tips, discuss living frugally and generally talk about personal finance issues.  

This turned into a busy morning for me, so I wasn't able to do the diary I wanted to.  Since it's running really late and I want to get something out before midnight, I've scrapped my original plans, and this week will just be a general discussion of frugality.  Please use this as an opportunity to share your favorite tips, hints, jokes, recipes, you name it.  

To get you in the mood, here are a few ideas I've seen recently I thought were helpful, interesting, entertaining or all of the above.

Want to know what the expected wait time will be to get through airport security in the US?  The TSA has a website that can help.  You enter the airport, the day of the week and the time and it will tell you what the average wait is.

If you live in the Silicon Valley area and want to know the cheapest place to buy gas right now, check out San Jose Gas Prices.  There are links there to many other California cities as well.
